The trailer for Pineapple Tree’s third studio album, The Blue Notebook, debuted with a video of a tree and the words “The Blue Notebooks are here” in the background.
The trailer also featured the band’s lead singer, Dave Grohl, performing a version of “Warm Winter Nights” by The Beatles.
The Blue Notes are one of the most popular rock bands of all time and have been a staple of American music since the 1960s.
Grohl has been a frequent collaborator with Pineapple’s songwriting.
In April, Grohl recorded a version in the band.
In the song, Grohls lyrics refer to “the trees” and “the blue notes” as a reference to the band itself.
“The tree” is a nod to Grohl’s real-life childhood home in Minnesota, which he describes as “a treehouse with a tree.”
Grohl recently described the songwriting process of writing for the album.
“It’s pretty much like writing a song for a Broadway play,” he said in April.
“You’re doing what you love, and then you’ve got the opportunity to take it further.”
