A lot of tea is sold under the brand name “shrooms tea”.
Shrooms tea is generally not tea at all, it is a substance that has been chemically modified by plants in order to enhance its medicinal properties.
But many people have been making tea with a shroom in it, which is a chemical concoction of chlorophyll and the plant’s own alkaloids.
These compounds are known as “shroom tea” and they help to make tea taste more like a normal tea.
These types of tea have been known to be beneficial for the brain and nervous system, and can help with mood swings and anxiety disorders.
But does it help with anything else?
This week, FourFourtwo asked two experts to share their experiences with tea, their opinions on what you should and should not drink with a plant-based drink, and their advice for people who want to try a more plant-friendly tea.
A good question and a tricky one, but one that we hope to answer in a future article.
“If I’m going to do anything, I need to know what it’s going to taste like,” said James O’Connell, author of The Complete Guide to Organic and Plant-Based Tea, which was recently published by St. Martin’s Press.
“A lot of people are going to drink this tea as it’s organic and without any chemicals or additives.
But they’re going to be putting a lot of other ingredients into it that are potentially dangerous.”
“It’s a bit like a drink made with wine.
The best part is that it’s not made with alcohol.”
“There’s no way that it can taste anything like wine,” added Richard Smith, author and head of tea research at the Natural History Museum in London.
“It smells, it tastes, it smells, tastes.
It doesn’t taste like wine.
It’s a chemical cocktail of what people have in their bodies.”
One of the most popular teas on the market is Green Tea Leaf, which uses green tea leaves in place of the chlorophyls and other compounds that come with traditional teas.
“The tea itself is not as sweet as most of the teas you can find, so it tastes like the sort of tea that a lot people are drinking,” said O’Brien.
“But it has all the antioxidants that the tea should have.
It also contains a lot more nutrients, such as vitamin C, than most teas.”
“Most of us have never heard of the plant-derived antioxidants that tea contains,” he added.
“They are not found in tea.
It has to be some sort of supplement or something.”
Green Tea is usually sold in capsules, but the capsules are sometimes sold in liquid form.
O’Briens advice to consumers: “The thing is that if you buy the capsule and you put the tea in it and the water in it – that’s it.
There’s no other part of the liquid.
You have to add the liquid and the herbs to get that kind of flavour.
If you have the capsules, you’ll be drinking the liquid, but if you don’t, you can take the capsules and just drink the liquid.”
“The most common tea brands are made with chlorophylla and the flavouring,” said Smith.
“So if you have a tea that’s made with those ingredients, then it’s really a bad idea.
You’ll get no benefit.”
“You can get the same results with other herbal teas like tea made with fennel or rosemary, but those are not traditionally made with herbs.”
O’Clery also noted that some tea teas contain other compounds.
“You know what, if you’re looking for a tea with the strongest medicinal properties in it that has no other chemicals added, that’s a good tea,” he said.
“And then you can do the whole organic tea thing and make your own tea.
I think it’s pretty straightforward.”
A better choice of tea for you?
The experts agreed that there are certain ingredients that you should not be drinking with a tea, and that there’s a lot that is safe.
“People have been drinking this tea without using any chemicals and they’re getting the benefit of the tea with no side effects,” said Alistair Turner, author.
“As far as I can tell, you’re going on the right side of the law.”
“I’ve used the green tea leaf for over a year, and it’s been absolutely fantastic,” said Richard Smith.
He’s used the leaf for around a year now and he said that it has a really good taste, and has helped with mood disorders, anxiety, and even ADHD.
“Green tea is a really useful herbal tea, but there are other herbs that have been used that have also been good for the liver, the lungs, and you can add a little bit of that in to the tea and you’ll get really good results,” he concluded.
